Emergency
Contact Information
One of the benefits of membership at
South Shore is our
24-hour Pastor-On-Call feature. Any evening or weekend a pastor is just a
phone call away. By dialing the main number at the church, the phone will
forward to the designated pastor on-call. We know from experience that
emergencies tend to happen more at night than the daytime, and we are there
for you.
The process is not fool proof, as sometimes that person may be
unavailable at that moment, but if you leave a message they usually are able
to call back within a few minutes. 90% of the time the pastor will answer,
the other 10% of the time you will receive a call back in minutes, so please
leave a message and phone number clearly.
You are always welcome to call Pastor Marc in a crisis on his
cell at 944-8919, but if he doesn’t answer just leave a message and then
call the church number for the Pastor-On-Call.
South Shore’s Pastoral Team is adamant about being available for
our congregation. So please feel free in any emergency or crisis to call,
anytime of the day or night. One of our pastors can and will get to your
home, no matter what the hour, during a crisis. In the rare event there is
no pastor available, one of our committed and dedicated Elder Team will
respond.
South Shore Pastors and Elders alike are committed to the best
care of our congregation.

Happy
Tax Rebate!!!
Uncle Sam
wants me to spend it. It is supposed to stimulate the
economy.
I had to
do nothing to earn it. It is a pleasant unexpected gift.
So, I am
giving 10% (or more) to my Church. To stimulate God’s work in
the community!

Dear
South
Shore
Family,
It is so wonderful to know that we are still a part of the South
Shore Family. Thanks Pastor Marc and Joe for helping me get
Roy to the doctor because I couldn't have done it without
you! Thank you Tom and Dora, for keeping the chapel going. Thank you, Dora,
for keeping me a part of the prayer chain and chapel prayer time. Thank you,
Susan, for the emails that keep us a part of our Home Team. Thank you
Wendell, for keeping us supplied with the Daily Bread. Thanks also for those
who still call me on the phone. Sandy White and
Carolyn Bishop, I truly
appreciate all of your sweet cards. Though we are happy here in Odem, we
still miss all of you. We love each and every one of you and keep you in our
prayers.
Love always, Roy and Pastor Leona
I would like to thank everyone for your prayers, phone calls and
just thinking of me while I was in the hospital. God bless you all and
again thank you.
Elsie Carey
We want to thank everyone for the love and support during our
sorrow at the death of my husband Nate. Thanks for your prayers, cards,
phone calls and food. A special thanks for the reception after the funeral
on Tuesday. It was truly appreciated. Words can say so little when someone
has done so much…but I thank you with all my heart!
Love to all, Doris Peevey & Family
Dear
South
Shore
Christian Church,
Thank you SO much for allowing our Decathlon team to use your
church. It made the arduous task of studying much more comfortable than it
would have been at school. It was so generous of ya’ll to let us use your
space and we truly do appreciate it. Without the use of your facility, we
may not have made it all the way to State. Thank God for your generosity.
Thank You, King Decathlon Team 2008
